They handle various aspects, including ceremony logistics, venue setup, speaker selection, and even social events for graduating students. Guest speakers and honorary degree members are subjected to CIU Board of Trustees approval.

Greetings, CIU Graduation Ceremony Committee,
The Office of the President welcomes all of you and thank you for participating on the CIU Graduation Ceremony Committee. As you know, the graduation committee will organize and oversee graduation ceremonies and related events. They handle various aspects, including ceremony logistics, venue setup, speaker selection, and even social events for graduating students. Guest speakers and honorary degree members are subjected to CIU Board of Trustees approval.
YOU ARE THE GLUE THAT HOLDS CIU TOGETHER! 🎓🎒🏫🥇
Here are the requirements for your committee.
1. Meet every 3 to 4 weeks and provide an update of your accomplishments. 2. Provide a 2025-2026 Strategic Plan for your committee no later than Sunday, August 4, 2025. 3. Keep the Office of the President abreast of your tasks, meetings, and accomplishments. 4. Setup a meeting with President Williams, the Board of Trustees, and myself if needed. 5. Conduct research on various graduation ceremony events. 6. Other committee duties as assigned by your Chairperson or the Office of the President. 7. Provide a Committee Status Report every 3-4 weeks. Note: The committee can create a PowerPoint Presentation with your status report, which is optional.
Time management is important and please make time for your university, because we are counting on you. You will also receive a Certificate in the next few weeks for your participation. Failure is not an option, and I am counting on you to communicate and collaborate with each other to make CIU successful. You may start your committee today and if you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask and wish you all the best.
